An increase in cellular motility, as a sign of skin regeneration, is linked to the anti-ageing properties of cosmetic products. This assay, the product of biomedical research into the kinetics of wound healing, evaluates a given substance’s ability to potentially regenerate skin cells by analysing the increase in cellular motility after a cut has been made in a monomolecular film of human keratinocytes.
