A cosmetic product’s antioxidant activity on cellular cultures of human keratinocytes is evaluated by means of the dichlorodihydrofluorescein-diacetate (DCF-DA) assay. This test analyses a given cosmetic product’s ability to inhibit the formation of free radicals in cells exposed to progressive oxidative stress using a fluorescent probe, and thus determines its antioxidant power. Cell viability is also tested to assess whether the sample has any protective activity.
Execution time: 30 (thirty) business days from the arrival of the product at our facility.
